1. Stewardship. We understand stewardship to be the managing of God-given resources to accomplish God-revealed purposes. Not only is this true within individual financial planning, but also true of us as a company. We want to be good stewards of each client that has been entrusted to our care.
2. Integrity. Doing well by doing right is a motto we strongly subscribe to. We believe that not only will we be held accountable to running a business of integrity, but we additionally believe that using principles of integrity will lead to a more successful and profitable business.
3. Care. The ability and act of caring for people – whether clients, prospects, competition, or the community as a whole – is a mark of good stewardship. Care is not something that can be advertised, but only can be experienced. And it’s with this knowledge that we strive to show extraordinary care for all people around us that extends beyond their financial accounts and into their personal lives.
4. Purpose. Managing investments without a clear objective is similar to setting out to sea without a clear destination. Investors, like sailors, will be subject to the storms and waves, never sure of what their next move will be. We place an unusually high emphasis on the creation, management, and accomplishment of purposeful goals because purpose is what tells us how to invest our resources. We believe strongly that each person has been created with unique talents and given a unique purpose, and it’s our duty as financial planners to assist them in making the best use of their resources to accomplish that purpose.
5. Generosity. While there is little guidance to knowing the exact amount of what is required for each person to give, we believe that whatever the percentage be, it should be sacrificial. Generosity does not only mean the giving of our money, but also the giving of our time, and so we want to as a company be charitable with our time – helping teach financial education to schools, churches, and the community as a whole – as well as our treasure, giving to charities, sponsoring events, and assisting the community.
